OUR VERDICT: The best all-round CrossFit shoes on the market.
Reebok CrossFit Nano 8 Review
One great imaginary boxer once said:
It’s not about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
The general reception of Reebok Nano 7 was a heavy hit for Reebok. A painful knock-down. Probably the most painful in Nano history. But before we declared knock-out, Reebok is up and fighting again.
Fighting with what we believe is their best CrossFit shoe in 9-years long history. The Reebok CrossFit Nano 8.

Nano 7 vs Nano 8
Reebok Nano 8 is a huge comeback from the disappointing performance of the precedessor. There are two reasons that made the comeback possible:
1. Nano 7 was bad.
It was a weightlifting shoe without the drop really. Great for high-rep snatches, power cleans or box jumps but quite frustrating to wear for any form of running or even double-unders.
The Weave edition was a major improvement but only affected the upper, with sole still being stiff and sturdy.
All in all, Reebok CrossFit Nano 7 was a disappointment.
2. Nano 8 is fantastic.
The design might be very similar to Nano 7 but don’t get deceived.
The Flexweave upper is highly breathable, very flexible and feels extremely durable even during the rope-climbs.
There’s also a new feature that we just love – a separate bootie, independent from the outer layer. It’s just so comfortable you can wear it barefoot.
The new heel design, together with the molded CMEVA midsole and sockliner, provides amazing comfort and the reinforced toe-cap is now much better suited to the demands of CrossFit.
Once you put these shoes on, you don’t want to take them off, they are so comfortable. And what’s important, you feel they perform at any minute of you workout.
What we like about Reebok CrossFit Nano 8
- Extremely comfortable and well-fitted Flexweave upper.
- Suitable for running thanks to reduced sole stiffness compared to Nano 7.
- Still stable enough for weightlifting, both high-rep and max-effort.
What we like not so much…
- No design changes compared to Nano 7 Weave.
- Still not recommended for long-distance running.
Our Reebok CrossFit Nano 8 Review Score: 9.1/10
Reebok CrossFit Nano 8 = comfort of the Nano 2 + fit of the Nano 6 + support of the Nano 7.
It’s not as cheap as Speed TR, as it retails at around $130 (see current price on Amazon) but definitely worth the investment.
